Vegetation Management & Tree Work
Vegetation management forms an important part of what we do. We undertake tree felling, tree reduction, crown lifting, dead wood removal and stump grinding alongside wider vegetation clearance and land management operations.
Our capabilities allow us to work across anything from individual trees and established boundaries to heavily vegetated areas requiring more substantial clearance. We also undertake work associated with ash dieback, storm damage and other situations where specialist equipment can provide a safer and more efficient approach to difficult trees and sites.
Where clearance produces substantial quantities of woody material, our wood chipping and mulching capabilities allow the next stage of the project to be considered as part of the same operation.
Specialist Site Clearance
Site clearance can involve far more than simply removing surface vegetation. Dense scrub, trees, brambles, stumps and difficult terrain can all need to be addressed before land is ready for development, improvement, fencing or another use.
We have invested in specialist machinery that allows us to tackle these demanding environments efficiently. Our site clearance capabilities include wood chipping, heavy-duty mulching, ash dieback removal and management, and storm damage and emergency works.
Having this capability in-house means we can approach a clearance project with the wider objective in mind. If the land subsequently requires fencing, excavation, track construction or other groundworks, those requirements can be considered from the beginning rather than each stage being treated as an unrelated job.
Groundworks & Land Improvement
Our groundworks services allow us to take a project beyond the initial clearance stage. We undertake track building, pond construction, landscaping, excavation and earthworks for rural, agricultural and other sites throughout Yorkshire.
This combination is particularly valuable on estates, farms and larger areas of land where several types of work may be required to achieve the finished result. Vegetation can be cleared, ground reshaped or excavated, access improved and new boundaries established as part of a coordinated programme of works.
Our approach is focused on providing practical solutions to the conditions encountered on site, using appropriate machinery to complete the work efficiently while maintaining a professional standard throughout the project.
Professional Fencing Contractors
Fencing is another major part of our contracting work. We undertake agricultural, security, estate and new build fencing, giving us the ability to provide suitable boundary solutions across a wide variety of properties and environments.
Our agricultural fencing services include stock fencing, deer fencing, post and rail fencing and barbed wire fencing. For commercial and managed sites, we can undertake palisade and mesh security fencing, while our wider capabilities include metal estate fencing and timber fencing for new build developments.
We operate specialist fencing machinery including Protech EVO 1 and EVO Compact tracked post drivers. We also have a Solo netting system for our Case 370B tracked skid steer, providing us with specialist equipment for substantial agricultural and rural fencing projects.
Investing in Specialist Machinery
The right machinery can make a significant difference to both the efficiency of a project and the type of work that can realistically be undertaken. We have invested in specialist equipment suited to the environments in which we operate, particularly where terrain, vegetation or access presents additional challenges.
Our equipment includes tracked machinery for vegetation management, site clearance, groundworks and fencing. This includes our FAE heavy-duty mulcher for the Case tracked skid steer, specialist wood chipping equipment and machinery designed to support demanding tree, land clearance and fencing operations.
Tracked equipment gives us the ability to operate across terrain where conventional wheeled machinery may be less practical, making it particularly useful across agricultural land, woodland, estates and undeveloped sites.
One Contractor for the Wider Project
One of the biggest advantages of our range of services is the ability to undertake several elements of a project without relying on a different contractor for every stage. A new fence line, for example, may first require vegetation clearance. A site clearance project may subsequently require excavation or earthworks. An estate improvement project may involve track building, landscaping and fencing alongside vegetation management.
By bringing these capabilities together, we can consider how the different stages interact and provide a more coordinated approach to completing the work. This is particularly valuable on larger or more complicated sites where access, machinery movements and the sequence of operations all need careful consideration.
